Oeko-Tex® Standard 1000

Johann Müller AG was certified in 2000 according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 1000 as the world’s first jersey finishing company. Particularly environmentally friendly production sites throughout the textile chain are certified according to this standard; they must meet (among others) the following criteria:

  • At least 30% of the total production must be certified according to Oeko-Tex®Standard 100;
  • No use of environmentally harmful dyes and auxiliaries;
  • Compliance with guidelines for waste water and waste air purification;
  • Economical energy consumption;
  • Defined measures for safety at work;
  • Introduction of basic elements of an environmental management system.
